Pictures from LI marathon, half, and 10k
I just wrote this long post and it didn't go through. 
Lets try this again...
Due to a knee injury and being unable to run this weekend I volunteered to photograph the races. This was my first time taking this type of photo, so some are blurry and out of focus... people were moving FAST and it was so hard to keep the camera steady while keeping an eye on my 3 yr old. Anyway here are the pics. Look through and you just may find yourself! If you do see one you want, contact me and I'll send you the high res file. The first 58 were taken just at about 3.25 miles. The rest were taken 0.25 mile before the finish line.
(Dana, I did spot you in one by the 3 mile mark. You are to the side and out of focus, and its not the best pic of you.  )

It's not taking me to the site? That is great that you vulunteered. I didn't get into NYC this year but was thinking of volunteering!

You got me!!!! I'm in the blue and white shirt in picture #71! 
Its funny because I remember seeing you at the finish and I thought to myself that's Julz from LIF!!! We smiled at each other but I knew you didn't know who I was! I had no idea you were taking pictures!!!

from your pictures, i just realized that the woman that won the half was a good friend from hs that i ran xc and track with and the woman that placed second i ran xc with in college! LOL . Also I ran college xc with the 3rd place men's finisher!

Although I didn't get to run the races I loved looking at the pictures. The looks of determination of the runners when they were near the end is amazing!!
I know most people (myself included) look at their race pictures and think they look awful (because we know they arent the most flattering)...but those determined looks really make the picture and capture the moment!
You took some beautiful pictures that really show a love of running!

I agree Colleen... the pics at the finish line of the first few finishers of the half marathoners (the blue numbers) especially.
