It's not a new trend. My dad always had a pink shirt or a white shirt with pink strips in his collection when he wore suits to work.
I also think it works beter with button downs, that polo shirts or tee-shirts.
True about lets see 10 yrs ago I worked in Eddie Bauer and pink, aqua, yellow, salmon colored polo shirts were a huge hit but like you said for your dad- I never saw a young guy buy one, but now you see it a lot, so I think its a new trend now b/c you see more of it and it looks good!

I think the show Queer Eye definitely helped pink become more popular with the guys.
I like guys in pink but DH would never wear it.
