Pins & Needles in face and neck...
So from my other post you might know that I have been getting headaches and dizziness for over 2 weeks now.
I ended up going to the ER Friday night because I started getting pins and needles in my face.
After taking a Catscan they said that I had inflammation on the brain causing all of this. And gave me a steroid pack to bring down the swelling.
I go to the neurologist hopefully tomorrow.
Does anyone else have this? Why does it happen?
ETA: The headaches are getting better but the pins and needles are going into my neck now

Where is the inflamation? Perhaps, and this is only a guess, the inflamation is pushing on a T nerve in your face?
I say this, because, my tumor pushes on the t3 (or maybe the t5) in my face behind my eye and causes me to lose feeling down in my cheek and my lips (also in the roof of my mouth and my gums) ...sometimes it is a pins and needles type feel.
I use a medicine called Lyrica to help me, maybe that would help? Before lyrica it was a med called Gabapentin

Thank you. Would a catscan show a tumor? Or would they have to do more tests?

A CT scan was the first thing that showed a "mass" in my head but I had to go and get a biopsy done to find out for sure.
Don't overthink things just yet.

I know. I try not to. Just after knowing your story I guess I am just a little more paranoid. Which is not always a bad thing
