Not in Wantagh, but if you make the drive to Massapequa, we love Carmela's. It's right on the border of Seaford/Massapequa on Merrick Rd.
Their regular pies are great and love their Sicilian even more.

Phil's, it used to be Saporito. They have other locations in Massapequa, pizza is very good

Second on Phils We tried them last week and liked them. There is also our new Pizza Hut

I moved to LI from Brooklyn about 5 years ago... This place is the closest I have found to Brooklyn Pizza.
I live in Suffolk County but DH works in Wantagh and when I want Pizza for dinner, I have him bring it from there!

Aww man! I LOVE Phil's! I liked Saporito but Phil's is awesome! I wish it was there when I lived in the area. Their balsamic chicken slice is so good!

I'm from Brooklyn and I take my pizza really seriously! I've never liked Umberto's. I actually love Spasso's across the street - even had them cater my baby shower and everyone raved.
Segesta (on Wantagh Ave. near Ralph's) is good and has really, really thin crispy crust, so you have to be into that. I've heard good things from friends about the new Phil's and about Cherrywood, but I literally have to drive past Spasso's to get to either, so I've never made it that far down Wantagh Ave. for pizza.

I find its the cheese more then anything that makes a great pizza. You can tell when cheap cheese is used. It has no taste. Segesta pizza is seriously the best I've found out here and I usually go for the plain slice! No need to cover it up - it's that good. Mmmmm maybe ill get some for lunch today lol

How about Prince Umbertos ( different from Umbertos in cherrywood). It's in the shopping center next to the car supply store and Romanos pork store on park ave and wantagh ave.
