What time of year? I've heard that there's an animal farm or something in Douglaston that's great, but it's outdoors mainly.
Someone on here had a party recently at Alley Pond and said it was fun.

I would say Carosellos in Howard Beach. Good food, and they have like a playroom/arcade in the back.

Rose825 just had her son's 4th bday at Alley Pond Environmental Center. It was very cute (DS and I were there as well). The kids got to look at all the animals, then they were gathered on the rug to pet a few, they did a craft, had cake, went on a short nature hike. It was very cute. FM her for pricing details if you'd like.

Re: Places in Queens for Child's B'day Party?
Thank you so much you guys!!!
It's for my son and his birthday is April 8th.
I am trying to get everythign together way ahead of time because I am due end of April and my record indicates that I will go into labor early.
I just want to make sure everything s perfect for his day no matter what!

Anya, what kind of place are you looking for? Mainly for kids or a sit down type place?
I think Carosello is really good - really good food too and I think they are reasonable.
My g/f just had her son's first birthday at a place in College Point - I THINK it's called the Birthday Zone. It was REALLY cute and if I lived closer, I'd consider them for the future. It was really clean too!
You can always look into a local dance or gymnastics place if you're going the kiddie route!

Lauren, I am thinking of something more kiddie oriented, with games, characters etc. and of course pizza and cake.
I looked at the birthday zone site and will definitely give them a call.
Carosello--is it a restaurant? It's not coming up as a children's party place...

Definitely check them out, they played with the kids, each kid got a few coins to play games, they had a character, a cake (but I think they had to bring it) - pizza for the kids, um they painted one of those ceramic things - really it was a really cute party!
Carosello - I think is best if you're gearing more towards adults with children. I don't think they'd be listed under a kid's party place, but rather a family restaurant - they do have good food, so it may be worth it. But the characters and all that you'll have to hire from outside.
Have fun planning!
