We have had these too and we live in a co-op in queens, I HATE THEM!!!
My husband actually fixed the problem he got a product on bugspray.com
He said that two products are very effective:
1. nolo bait (which is a pathogen)
2. niban (which is boric acid surrounded by a protein that the cave crickets are attracted too)
My husband applies both of these products at the same time, the niban is a short term solution (kills them on contact) and nolo is long term. He reapplies it every few months, it has helped out A LOT.
You have to apply it where they live, for example damp dark places, hope this info helps! Good luck!

Keep cardboard boxes out of the basement, try to put a dehumidifier down there and get the sticky traps. Those things work!!
I wish we knew this before.
We bombed the basement last week and had a few of these...dead all over the floor. Yuck!!!!!

I put a cup over them and wait for DH. My rule is if the make a crunch sound when you kill them, Im not doing it. I skeeve them and that awful sound then make.

When I was living at home I used to get regular crickets in my room all the time (I spent most of the summer/fall sleeping on the couch upstairs!). We used to get a bomb spray and set it off, plus my dad started spraying the outside of the house a few times during the summer fall. Definetly helped.
