please don't flame...quick black friday question

I am going shopping with my sisters today (prob to Roosevelt Field Mall, maybe to the source also). DH has a lot of housework to do today so I was wondering if it would be absolutely ridiculous to bring DS with me. He is 5.5 months and would be in the stroller. I have never been to the mall on black friday so not sure how crazy it gets during the day. I am also nursing so would need to nurse him while I am there. Is it really insane during the day or is that just in the early AM? Am I totally crazy for even considering this? I figured if it is really bad I will just leave, but I am wondering if it is pointless to bother. Normally I wouldn't care to go but my sisters are only home for the weekend and we never get to go shopping together anymore. What do you think?

Like I said, please no flames. Just a question from an inexperienced black friday shopper.

I don't see why you would get flamed-lots of people bring their kids out shopping.

As for whether you should-I think it depends on how your DC does whenever you take them shopping.

My 1 year old, I wouldn't do it. He would be a mess and I would have to bag it early. But, when he was 5 or 6 months, I would have gone for it.

Have fun-get some great deals!

I think it woudl depend on the child.
My 5 month old- no way.
I can barely get through a trip to the grocery store with her.
She's way too unpredictable.
But if your child is good with being in the stroller, shopping etc, I don't see why not.
I don't think there will be stampedes or anything... I'd do it.

I agree. If your DC is great in the stroller I would go.

Early in the morning to a place like Best Buy- hell no. During the day is crowded, but no where near the madness you see in the early AM.

We took DS to the mall this AM. DH had him in the Bjorn and he was fine.
