please help, big bathtime problem
DD is 1 yr old. We have been giving her baths in the regular bath tub for about 2 mths. she loves it!! And up till now, its worked out great.
But now, she has learned how to turn the water on!! So as I am trying to hold a standing up toddler still who is all wet and slippery, I have to worry about dodging her body from the water and grabbing the knobs every 2 seconds. Its become a battle - I keep telling her no and she just insists on fighting me..
BRU and BBB say they dont make any typ eof child proofing device to lock the faucet handles..
tried the inflatable tub , she climbs out - hates er bath seat and splashes waay too much to do it in the sink,
what can I do???? Bathtime has become a horror show the last few nights...we are both so unhappy when its over with.,
anyone else have this problem? any suggestions would be really appreciated...
Ive tried distracting her with every type of bath toy to keep her away from that side of the tub, nothing works.

Re: please help, big bathtime problem
here's a thought--have u ever bought the tub paint? tell her she can paint the walls..or..u start and have her see it and get her to ask u for it. Maybe..u take a bath==have your husband walk her in and let her catch u painting...just a thought---they always want to do what u do... and the paint is cool!

Depending on the shape and size of the faucet handle(s), could you use the regular doorknob guards?

I think I saw something on OneStepAhead for some sort of gaurd for the faucet. When I am lazy about doing a full out a bath I run the water in the tub and sit DS right at the water and he loves playing with it. It keeps him pretty busy especially with a cup. Maybe you could try that

It's kind of long and I don't want to retype it... But it's nothing special or different really...
