Please help!! Is what I am feeling a sign that perhaps labor is not far off??
Hi,
I have a question that I figured those of you who have been through this already could maybe answer for me. I am 35w2d so I know it's a little early for labor BUT for the past few days I've been having a lot of AF like cramps, really bad lower back pain that comes and goes, nausea that comes and goes, and (sorry for the TMI) I've been going to the bathroom a lot. (#2 - not diarrhea but soft'ish) I have not had any bloody show or any loss of a mucous plug but I was wondering if these are signs that maybe something is going on. Is my body starting to prepare for labor in the coming weeks? The books say these are possible signs of pre-labor but I wanted to get your input and see what your experiences were as you got closer to your due dates. Thanks SO much!!!
Kris
**Also, had a sono this past week and the baby is head down and very low in my pelvis so maybe it's just baby's position too. Really not sure.**

It sounds to me like your body is getting ready! How ready...probably only time will tell. I remember getting like that around the same time.

Those sound like the signs of your body cleaning itself out getting ready for labor!

I totally agree... I think your body is readying itself!!! And I didn't lose my mucus plus and I got "bloody show" when my contractions started and I was in labor at 37 weeks.

They are good signs that you're body is preparing, but this isn't to say it won't happen for you...but I had all those signs too and I had to be induced a week late.
I think everyone is different and just wanted to let you see another side!! Just like there are many women who have zero signs and then their water breaks or they have strong contractions at once..
Good luck!!!

Thanks everyone for the replies. I just wanted to make sure more than anything that these symptoms are normal at 35 weeks. Since it's my first time it's hard to tell when something you feel is normal or if you should call the doctor. I know it could still be weeks off but I'm sort of hoping it will be not too far off only because I cannot fathom having to be this uncomfortable and yucky feeling for the next 5 weeks. Guess only time will tell. Thank you again!!
