Please help me find a quiet, romantic restaurant for dinner
Looking for a quiet/small intimate restaurant to go to dinner Friday night.
Today was my birthday and our anniversary, but due to a very unfortunate death in the family we were at a wake.
We are going to go to dinner Friday night. Looking for something low-key, maybe romantic with good food.
We are in Nassau, but willing to go to Western Suffolk too.

I'm not sure if it's still around since I haven't been in Woodbury for at least 2 years but one of my favorite places was Baang. It's in the Woodbury Commons.
You may want to check out the Great Restaurants of Long Island Website it's a great resource.

Stresa East on Jericho in Woodbury. Nice place, upscale and quiet..sophisticated.

Thyme in Roslyn is great! delicious menu and a very charming atmosphere. we just love it there!

Bistro Citron in Roslyn (French Bistro) is wonderful...hmm...I know more about Eastern Suffolk so I'm not much of help. My SIL loves the Mill Pond House in Centerport...(next to Thatched Cottage)

My DH and I love to go to Mims. Not super fancy, but great food and a nice dressy/casual atmosphere. I prefer the one in Roslyn, but there is one in Syosset too.

I love Mims...the one in Syosset is smaller and less noisy.

We just went to the Babylon Carriage House for our anniversary last night - it was very nice. They even had a live singer and piano guy in the evening.

My first thought it La Nora in Howard Beach. I don't have a nassau suggestion. Maybe Dodici in Rockville Centre

I love Gemelli's in Babylon village. Not too big, very good food. A little pricey.
