could be! the baby's weight presses on the veins returning from your legs, which of course causes stuff to pool by your ankles and feet (just like someone with a heart condition.....)

it only gets worse as the baby gains weight

This is what my doc said...I unfortunatey think it has nothing to do with weather, and I'm doomed with cankles and a size 9 WW until this little guy comes out (I pray my feet return to normal, as they used to be pretty cute!).

Jen with the preeclampsia my feel and ankles were pretty swollen. I went to court in flip-flops and worked in slippers. People understand. Chat Icon

Thanks ladies...

You should SEE the size of my feet right now.. I just got home and OMG I can't even deal...

I have an appointment tomorrow so I will definitely talk to the Dr about it.

I had horribly horribly swollen feet towards the end of my pregnancy! I wore flip flops...and even they started to create marks on my feet...so I was barefoot as much as possible.
Have you thought of Crocs? They're not the most attractive choice for footwear....but hey - there's nothing pretty about swollen feet anyway!!

I also remember my tear-filled trip to DSW where I tried on every style of shoe in the store and nothing would even fit on my foot....no matter what size I tried on. I am normally a 7 and the closest size I could fit on my foot was a 10...and I simply couldn't walk in it because it was huge everywhere else.
I actually stopped working a month before I was due because of my feet...the swelling got so bad I could no longer drive!
Since you're getting into the winter months....I'd go with Crocs or Uggs....and tell your school to deal with it! And then show them your giant feet!!Chat Icon

Re: Please help...Re: swollen feet and work shoes

I am having the same problem... I am still wearing flip flops because it seems to be the only comfortable shoe (and I am always HOT)...but my back is paying the price.... Try wearing a pair of black or brown sketchers... some you can't even tell they are not shoes...
