I just can't deal with that one.
Other than that, I love "dirty" words & I LOVE foul humor & I love mocking myself & anyone else when I'm joking around. I don't take very much as far as words go offensively.

I seem to remember someone got banned from this site over a year ago by asking people to post words that you could get away with saying on here. Ones that are blocked in one form but not blocked if you addded ing, er etc.!

I seem to remember someone got banned from this site over a year ago by asking people to post words that you could get away with saying on here. Ones that are blocked in one form but not blocked if you addded ing, er etc.!
If people choose to go with words that are already banned, I can't help that. The "Ghetto" thread inspired me because it made me realize that there are words that some are offended by that others think nothing of.

I dont think words like that need to be listed because they are CLEARLY offensive.
But the ones that are so questionable that they need to be listed--- honestly, then the people that feel the need to respond that it *could* be considered offensive need to take a step back and ask themselves if its really worth it

really though i think i would have to say i totally agree with DEBG, and i said it on the "ghetto" thread, there are words that can be offensive to certain ppl while those same words are terms of endearment for others....i think any racist/ethnic slurs are offensive no matter how popular they may have gotten in our society as a term of endearment(n word for example) personally im spanish/italian and i would not wanna be called the ethnic slurs of either of those by my "friends" 
now for a funny one, i HATE the word for the vajayjay that is also the word for a small cat....HATE HATE HATE THAT WORD...i actually can deal with the C U Next Tuesday one more than that

There aren't many words that, in and of itself, offend me, other than blanket generalizations about Jews, as I am one - the point at which I become offended for any given word, is the circumstances by which it is said, the intent and meaning behind it by that particular person, and any history of racial bias by that person.

It takes a lot to offend me, but if I had to choose one word, I would say the c u next tuesday word. I HATE that one. Anything else I take with a grain of salt and who said it.

See, that is just is Nennie. On this board, I am learning that what is clearly offensive to me is not clearly offensive to everyone. Living in the south has taught me that lesson as well, as I see the rebel flag in a lot of places.
Another term, which is used soo loosely to describe people in the south is Redneck. I HATE that word as when it is used a sweeping generalization towards people who live in the south, in essence I am being called an uneducated/bigot/conservative and a religious fundamentalist.
However, in today's society the word has become part of speech and people (thanks to that stupid comedy show) often throw it around without the slightest idea of what it really means. Just because some people have started to use it just to mean a hick like person from the south doesn't mean that is the only meaning that the word holds.

There's not much that offends me personally.
I am disgusted by slurs, in general - whether it be racial or sexual. I agree with Bxgell that it's the intent more than anything that "offends" me.
However, even when the intent to slur isn't there, for example the "n" word when used by a black person to another black person, I can't help but flinch.
I actually typed out the word & then subsituted because I can't stomach the 1950s-60s context.
