please post your bathroom lighting... and more bathroom recs needed, please!
i'm getting double sinks/medicine cabinets and don't know if i should go with a light fixture above each cabinet or wall sconces... if i go with wall sconces, should one go on each side as well as one in the middle (for a total of 3)? or just the one on each side? i'd love some pictures of everyone's fixtures, for ideas and inspiration (all bathrooms not just double vanity!)
also, i'd like recessed lighting in the shower... i am going to be placing an order through faucetsdirect.com and they do sell lighting - i don't know the first thing about recessed lighting. will any old thing do? should i just go to home depot? what do i need? recs please!!
i need to buy a vent for the ceiling as well... i'd like one with heat, but no light... any recs? thanks!

Krista,
We're going through the same thing right now. We decided to go with double sinks, double mirrors and double vanity lights (one above each mirror)
As far as sconces, I guess you would do one on each side of each mirror, like this: <img src="
We're going with a bathroom vent/fan too, but we're going with one that has a light in it. Looks like Broan or Nutone are rated pretty well. Both available in HD or Lowes.
Our contractor tried to sell us on recessed lighting in the shower, but we saw way too many Holmes on Homes shows where he said not to do this. But I do love the look of it though! I think you might have to buy special ones for use there.

Something about the moisture from the shower and it being right above the shower/tub area. Maybe it was perhaps the people weren't using the proper lighting?
