the part that got to me, strangely enough, was she had a normal 15 (or was it 18?) month check up. she was a normal, healthy, happy baby. i mean, that's ALL of our kids. it could've happened to any of us.  . breaks my heart. I hope God grants them their prayers.

I was hysterical after reading this and made DH read it and he teared up, it's awful, beyond awful....I have no idea how g-d gives ppl this strength!!!! G-d bless this child and this family!!!!

me too, I've been reading it in bits and pieces because I get so upset
also I saw on twitter that they said this could have been discovered with a uriine test at birth?
does anyone know anything about that?
So many prayers for that brave little girl and her family

I wish them peace and I pray that when it is layla's time, she goes back to heaven in peace and without pain....at this point, that is all you can hope for

So true.
I just kept thinking last night when I was laying in bed, that somewhere, her mom was curled up in bed with her, holding her sick little girl and what she must be thinking and doing.
I was so hoping that she would pass quickly, just so she could finally be at peace. KWIM?

The blog Valentine's and Regrets was very hard to read. What that mother said about treasuring every moment and not wishing for some peace and quiet so you can get some stuff done around the house is so very true. I will remember this the next time I am about say it.

OMG can this horrible tragedy get any worse??? Just let this poor little girl go peacefully...not like this...it just blows my mind that there isn't something they can do in situations like this to ease the pain and suffering and have it happen fast.
