Bring one of his collars with you (and measure it) so you know which size to get. The cone looks like this:

I folded the bottom edge down so Brinkley could play with his Kong. The only thing is, any unused velcro sections can stick to carpeting. I found that out one day when I came home to find an area rug stuck to the side of Brinkley's head. 
It's great though, to make sure the incision line doesn't get infected. I hope Jensen feels better soon. 
Thank you. I laughed when I pictured Brinkley with an area rug stuck to his head. I really needed that today! so far Jensen has peed in the house (which he NEVER does) and vomited twice  DH is at work and I am stressed to the max with worry.

I'm glad you have him home!! I think he will have a faster recovery being home with his loving mommy!! 
I hope he gets more comfortable soon!! Hopefully the worst is over!!

I'm glad he could give you a chuckle. 
Are you giving him painkillers? If so, I would stop. Rimadyl is known to have side effects and he may not need them. He's not going to be himself for a couple of days, but by the time you go back to get the staples out, he probably will be. 
I'm sorry, I know how heartbreaking it feels when they're in pain and you can't make it all better.

OMG, do you have any idea why he vomited? Did you call the vet re the vomiting? Don't worry about the urination in the house, it's just stress related or pain related. You know how much I am praying for your boy.

I spoke to the vet a number of times tonight. Besides the vomiting, I am also worried b/c the area near his incision seems to be swelling more and is getting very red. I took his temp and he doesn't seem to have a fever so I don't know if it's an infection. The vet said to stop all meds and he wants to see him first thing tomorrow morning. Please keep him in your prayers. It's killing me that he has to go through this. This is like a nightmare.

I'm glad you're getting him checked out, I hope you get good news.
Brinkley swelled too, got very red, and then bruised as he healed. We also took his temperature and it was elevated a little, but not much. It took a while, but he healed fine and now you would never even know he had balls once.

I was thinking about you both all night. How is he? What time are you going in?
Also wanted to tell you my female dog did have a swollen bump in her incision line too...so maybe that's not so bad?

For what it's worth... I would try to take him to another vet once he's home for a 2nd opinion.

I would also consider seeing another vet for a second opinion on the current course of treatment (but that's just me).
