In the long run it will...they are being put in such a tough situation. Long story short they dont want to sleep over their grandparents tonight as they normally do on Thursday nights...nor their Dad's for that matter. They simply want to come home and sleep in their own beds after their time with them. Noone is listening to them except for me....Im torn between forcing them to go where they dont want to and protecting them. They tried to get permission to go home on the bus but the school intervened. They spoke to the school social worker who basically just doesnt want to get involved so she told them they had to go with their grandparents instead of seeing that there was more to it than that...KWIM? Great way of showing them that yet another adult isnt listening to them. From what Im feeling from the school they think that I am doing this...which I am not. They were so quick to pass judgement. Apparently the fact that there hasnt been an issue regarding any of this in 4 years means nil.
Don't these people realize that they are pushing these precious girls AWAY from them and making it so hard for the girls to love them?!?!? Obviously they just don't seem to care. How awful for you and your girls.
Unfortunitely they didnt...although the school social worker will be getting a rather scathing email shortly. All in all it will work out for them. It's just so hard to not be able to comfort them.
