And, for the record, every school is going to have a drug problem. The wealthier kids will just do more expensive drugs!
It's all about teaching your kids to stay away from them at home!
Yeah, but there's a difference between schools that have kids who use drugs and schools who have to raid the entire building because kids are overdosing left and right. I think it's unrealistic to think that there is going to be a high school without drugs, but I also think you shouldn't have to worry about your child's locker being searched with a drug sniffing dog. Ya know? I'm just quoting you, Lori because I agree with you, but also know that there are a few districts out there with more than just kids using drugs, they're abusing them and having school wide issues because of it.
Getting back to the OP's question, it would help if you could possibly give some insight as to what you are looking for in a district. Then maybe we can all stop making Long Island's teenagers out to be some drug whores and give you real advice

I am new to all this as my oldest is only 2 and i have been living overseas. I was looking to eventually get a condo in Suffolk and was keep the school districts in mind.
i need to understand WHAT I should be looking for in a district and get better insight
I'm just really out of the loop and dont know anyone to ask in regards to this

Northport/Easst Northport- Commack are very good schools

You might find greatschools.net helpful. You can sort by whatever is most important to you
