Please recommend your audio only monitor
So with #2 due in a few weeks we are trying to get everything we need... nothing like waiting til the end... we need a second monitor since ds is only 14 months old.... nothing fancy but it needs to be a really good one since we have massive issues with signals of any sort in this house

We really liked the FP Lights & Sounds monitor. We had one set to channel A in one bedroom and Channel B in the other, no issues.

sony babycall!!!!!!
we are a house of a lot of technology...cordless phones, wireless internet, cell phones, etc. there are a TON of channels - so you will DEFINITELY find one without any static at all (though we never had to change from the 'factory channel').
LOVE IT!!! It even has lights on it too - so you can see if the baby is moving and not crying (so long as the moving makes some kind of noise).

I LOVE the Sony Babycall too. The best thing about it is that it has a sound-activated setting so that if the baby isn't making noise, you don't hear anything -- like cars going by, or just the room "hum". It is sensitive enough though that it does turn on with "real" sounds the baby makes.

Re: Please recommend your audio only monitor
After doing a bunch of research, we went with the Philips Avent Dect with Digital Display. The sound is completly static free and crystal clear. the range is excellent as well. i am able to go out of my coop, slightly around the corner to the mailboxes, and it still maintains its signal. The only PITA was that BRU did not carry it in the store, I had to order it online and of course pay shipping....
