recommend your audio only monitor

I already have a video monitor. I am looking to purchase an audio only monitor, any recommendations?

I'll 3rd the sony babycall. an added advantage is if you have a second child you can buy another babycall monitor and use them together.

Same here - had the best reviews and is reasonably priced.

I have the Safety 1st Digital monitor and I SWEAR by it - absolutely NO STATIC because it's digital...a little pricey, but worth every penny. I had 3 different monitors with DD#1 and they all had static...

Graco Imonitor

I have this one also and am very happy with it. No static and it's very clear. I also like that it vibrates so if I am in a noisy spot and DS is making noise, it will vibrate and I know he's up.

Re: recommend your audio only monitor

I had the graco.. I returned it, static, unreliable in my tiny tiny apt

From recommendations here, I got the Angelcare deluxe

LOVE it!

#1 doesn’t interfere with my other electronics (wireless in our apt)
#2 doesn’t care that I have a chimney in the middle of my house
#3 still no static after 6months
#4 two remotes so I can have one in the kitchen/bedroom and one in the living room
#5 motion monitor tells me she’s breathing (huge for my nervous mind) and the alarm when it detects no presence is well.. alarming. Which is good.
#6 can use it without the motion detector for days she’s asleep in her carseat
#7 nightlight is just enough that I need to see her
#8 super easy to use, which of course is good for me
#9 chargeable with battery alarm so it never just dies out without me knowing (I heard horror stories here about the monitor remotes battery going out and mom didn’t know)
#10 Bases are compact so they don’t take up a lot of room and are very unobtrusive.
#11 Tells me the temperature in her room at all times. So in the summer we monitor how hot and in the winter, how cool
#12 super sensitive if you want it to be.. I can hear her sniffle or not, if I choose.
