Please refresh my memory re: Level 2
Usually it's external but in certain situations they will do an internal as well. For example...me...I have a history of preterm deliveries so they check my cervix internally.

Both times have been external.
Only time I've had an internal sono was with #1 bc it was too soon for an external sono.

For ds #1 it was only external
DS #2 and 3 it was both internal and external.

My OB does both for the level 2. Internal first to check cervix and then the rest of the sono is external.

All three times were external for me. All my sonos before 12 weeks were internal. All after were external.

So exciting! That was a pretty cool sono for me. Got to see so much!! When is it for you? This week?
For me it was external only. She was being difficult though and wouldn't cooperate. lol. After having me drink cold water and turn this way and that, they finally just had me come back another day to finish. But both times it was external. The internals didn't begin for me until closer to the end of pregnancy. But I'm with a new OB now so who knows what they do at this practice.

1st was external
2nd with a different DR was both, they wanted to check my cervix to see if I was prone to premature labor.
