also, speak with the oncologists... they may have medications for you.
when my FIL passed, we had tons of tarceva pills left over. It is a very very expensive chemo pill. Since they were unopened, his oncologist did take them, to give to others who could not afford them.

Thanks again everyone, it really means a lot. He lives out of state so I'm off to go see him this morning. I can't help thinking it could be the last time :(

I will pray for your dad. I know what you must be going through. In the past 12 months My mil was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer, my dad with prostate cancer and my father in law with lung cancer. My dad is well his was early. My MiL got - clean pet scan 3 months after completion of chemo. My fil is in remission from lung cancer but now has a brain tumor. Surgery is this week.
Please just never give up hope. Be there for him as much as possible. Dont let him get down always be positive! and its ok to cry!!

Jgl - do you mind if I fm you some questions about your mil - my mom was diagnosed with stage lll ovarian cancer. Just finish up chemo this month but don't know what to expect from there
