PLEASE show me your kitchen window treatments!
I am so clueless--I figured I'd go out looking for a curtain for my kitchen window yesterday, but they were all HIDEOUS!! They all had either fruit or farm animals on them 
Apparently I'm behind the times on window fashions. Can you please show me your kitchen window treatments (and ANY window treatments, really), because apparently I am THAT clueless

I'm having the same problem. You can only find cafe curtains, really long curtains, or floor length drapes. I need like 55" curtains, which apparently don't exist. My kitchen windows are large and in the front of the house so I don't want cafe curtains, where you'd still see so much of the inside.
I'm thinking about just buying fabric and hemming it myself at this point.

We have a window valance.
I prefer a valance in the kitchen to anything long, esp. because the window is right next to the oven and as silly as it seems I don't want the curtain to hold in the cooking smells of the kitchen.
The walls are a butter color.

Check out Target. I have a valance, but I will be replacing that with a Roman shade soon. It is a solid slate blue color. The roman shade will be a slate blue color with a pattern in it.
You could do a Roman bamboo shade if you don't like any of the kitchen curtains. You can hang it on the outside or inside of the window.
