Please tell me how you get out of the house with your toddlers!
I am feeling a little crazy the past couple of days because DD has become so difficult to get out with. I can't get ready, I can't straighten up. All she wants to do is be on the move, roaming around and getting into everything. If I confine her she is going through a phase of throwing a complete tantrum. She will be 1 on Friday but I am feeling like I am dealing with the "terrible two's" already. I feel like it takes me a good 2 hours depending on the type of day to get out of the housewith diligent effort. Is it just me doing a very poor job of multi-tasking?

DD will be 1 on thurs and the only way I can get out of the house in a timely fashion when I'm alone with her (not on the weekends with DH) is to put her in her highchair (the only place she will be "confined"), turn on the tv in the kitchen, and give her a book or toy to play with in the highchair. DD would never stay in a playpen, so this is the only fail safe way I have to get out quickly.

When we were in that phase I would out her in her crib and let her cry for awhile if I really needed to get something done.
