Please tell me i am not wrong ..update
tomorrow from 4-7 i am suppose to go to my gilfriends daughters karate thing at a hotel(i thought to be on n. ocean) ok so i get a phone call just 10 mins. ago that one they changed the location to a differant hotel(don't know which one) and that it's formal attair and you wait to nowe to tell me this... i do not have an outfit to wear to this nor the money to buy one for me and kryssy. i am sorry there is no way she JUST found out am i wrong.. becasue when i told her this she said oh please you don't have one thing... umm do you not rememeber what happened that is a big change and not one that was just done today..i flipped on her, mind you i did have to pay for these tickets(10 each) i mean i might be able to get kryssy a nice outfit for it but not the both of us and i know my "neice" really wants me there...

update:
becasue of my uncle's passing i want to spend time with my mom, so i called her to ask her if it would be ok for kryssy to still go... her words"well, i don't know if i can deal with another child" GIVE ME A BREAk they are great when they are together i said to her you know the girls are looking foward to this, to seeing each other. she's like well i will call you back. umm it's 10:30 wait now 11 and it starts at 4 and ends at now 8 not 7!!
i really do not want to take this away from the girls but she make's it soo impossible

i know right!! i guess becasue it is at the hotel but formal not even semi formal, imm i am not going to a wedding

You are most certainly not wrong! If I were you I would just wear the dressiest stuff you have. Maybe you can buy something for your daughter if you want since an outfit for her would likely be cheaper than getting something for you. But thats just wrong! If someone thinks you arent dressy enough, thats their problem!

um... I didn't Martial Arts for 8 years and any affair we had to go to was NEVER formal attire so that is really strange.
Either wear what you have or don't go at all!
