Please tell me if this protocol sounds right for my FET set for 9/5
Since my Dr recently opened up his own practice he is only doing cycling every two months which kind of stinks. However, I am VERY excited that I'm getting close.
I have irregular periods meaning some months I can have AF every 32 days and other times every 45 days. Being the next transfer dates at my RE will be beginning September here is the protocol they set up for me. Please, for all the "experts" out there tell me if this makes any sense.
I just got AF today so I am going in for a baseline sono and bloodwork on Monday. They are then going to start me on BCP (which I think is to give me a normal cycle of an August period), correct? Then I think I start Estrace and close to transfer PIO. Again, this is a FET. My Dr. said you can be more flexible with a FET and they're doing me the favor by making my Transfer on 9/5 since I just go back to Teaching on 9/3 but we're off for the Jewish holidays on 9/5 and 9/6.
Does this sound normal? Is it weird I'm starting with my July AF and not August AF for an early Sept. FET? Please advise, you ladies are always AWESOME!

Sounds about right to me! I used the same protocol but ovulated on the bc so I had to adjust! Best thoughts tonyou

Why dont they just let your cycle come since it seems worst case it will come sometime in late August and if it doesnt they can give you provera? Just seems like your going to be on bcp's for a while which will thin your lining out and it may take longer with the estrogen.

Hi,
Reason being is they are only doing transfers every two months, beginning of Sept is next time and late August AF would be too late. I've been anxiously waiting to start since May but then had some hiccups. However, you made me nervous what you said about my lining. I'll have faith though that they know what they're doing.

They put me on meds to bring on my period. Then put me on a different bc pill.

But they could also give you provera to bring it on if you dont get in a month. If thats your RE's plan and your cool with it great. For me I have real lining issues and BCP's can thin it out so its just something to watch for.
