Please tell me what the trick is to getting my child to look at

And smile for a camera! I see all these amazing pictures of everyone's adorable little hams and I have little miss devilish that will go out of her way to ignore the camera and look everywhere but at it. I could stand on my head and she still wouldn't look at me if she sees the camera. I have a feeling her Christmas pictures are going to all be of the top of her head!

get something that makes noise..you make noises, funny faces.. a stuffed animal of hers, blanket, etc.

I will tell you that I often take 100s of pics and out of those 100s will come out like 10-20 good ones..

just keep shooting.

My advice is take hundreds of photos, and if you have portrait mode, take photos on continuous shoot. Not every photo comes out perfect, but if you take loads of pictures, a few are bound to be good! I also do things like fake sneezing, or get someone to stand behind me and make noises, that always helps!

i use a feather duster.

I may take 5- 100 pics to get 2 good shots.

Oh and I say things like "do you want juice [insert food he really likes]?.
