Pledge of Allegiance Spinoff: A nice story
I didn't participate on the other thread because I didn't feel like debating, but I thought of LIF last night.
I was at the Mets game last night for the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony. They displayed a huge flag that covered a good part of the outfield, with a ton of First Responders on the field. They then dimmed the light in the stadium and then had a moment of silence. During the moment of silence, I heard a little girl sitting a few rows behind me say, "with liberty and justice for all." It was so cute and natural, even if she missed the point of the silence.
