PLS HELP! Rolling to belly at night, and SCREAMING
Please help!!! Any opinions, thoughts, ANYTHING is welcomed. Please!
My DD all of the sudden started rolling from her back to belly, and screaming at night to turn her over. Mind you, she knows how to, not sure why she doesn't
This happend numerous times last night, where I didn't sleep since 2am.. and already happened once today. What can I do? Do I let her cry? do i keep turning her over and going mad? Mind you, I have a full time job... Not Sat, obviously, but will this continue

Re: PLS HELP! Rolling to belly at night, and SCREAMING
I have to laugh because both of my boys started doing the same exact thing this week. I explain it as a anxiety attack and once I roll them back it takes a little while to calm them down. I also work full time and I am exhausted.
What I started doing was putting them on their bellies most of the day and showing them how to roll over even though I have seen them do it before...
Good luck

I wish I had an answer for you. DD sleeps on her tummy.
I think if I were in your situation I'd use one of these weekend nights to try to let her figure out how to roll back over or fall back to sleep. I know it can't be easy.

My suggestion as well. When it first happenened with DD, she cried the first few times it happened, then she got used to it.
Good luck!

Re: PLS HELP! Rolling to belly at night, and SCREAMING
I totally remember how scared/anxious/exhausted I was when DS found out he should roll in the crib. He loved rolling during the day and could roll across the room. Put him in the crib and he went to his belly while screaming bloody murder. I put him back on his back, after a little bit of cuddling. After about 4-5 days, I began hearing him cry slightly as he turned. Within about 1-2 minutes he would fall asleep on his belly.
Now we don't even hear him turn. We wake up and he's on his belly. He started around 5 1/2 months and 'perfected' it around 6 1/2 months.

It will likely take a week or two, but she'll figure it out! If you know she can do it, I wouldn't rush in at the first peep. Trust your own judgement about when she needs help -- and if you do go in, try to help her learn to roll by putting her arms where they need to be for her to do it herself.

My DD does the same thing. Soemtimes she will just stay asleep, but this morning she woke up on her belly and couldn't get back to her back.
We just went in to get her up for the day anyway.

Re: PLS HELP! Rolling to belly at night, and SCREAMING
maybe try putting her on her belly for naps, so she is used to sleeping that way? I am no help, once ds learned to roll over, he preferred to sleep on his belly...

Re: PLS HELP! Rolling to belly at night, and SCREAMING
I agree with those who said to give her time during the day to practice rolling over and don't help right away.
They learn eventually to roll by themselves at which point she should be fine at night. I know it's exhausting now but it will get better. My DS went through this stage also and I would let him fuss for awhile before I went into his room and eventually he learned.
Good luck!
