Well, we both survived a night of belly sleeping!!!
Cailen slept so amazingly!!!
Luckily ( ) he still has his cough, so I knew he was breathing all night... he woke up at 2, sucked down a bottle in about 30 seconds, and fell right back to sleep...
when he stirred I thwapped him on the back... it must have felt like he was against me... I shhhhed and thwapped, and we went right back to sleep - it was amazing....
We are both still in the living room - me on the love seat, he in the PNP... but we are making progress!!!

Re: Well, we both survived a night of belly sleeping!!!
We started belly sleeping really early - maybe 6 weeks or so - I was a wreck about it - but DD slept so much better on her stomach - I think that had a lot to do with her sleeping through the night at 3 months.

LOL...TJ loves sleeping on his stomach and has been for awhile. I remember the sleepless night constantly checking to see if he was breathing. I was so nervous, but he sleeps so much better. He sleeps with his knees bent in and butt up in the air

I wish I did this earlier... i knew he liked being on his belly, but I just couldnt do it until I knew he could lift his head better.... Although he had good head control at the hospital....

Re: Well, we both survived a night of belly sleeping!!!
With my ds we started sleeping on the belly after a couple of weeks. It was very nerve wracking but it's the only way he would sleep. On his back or side he was up about every 1hr. But actually held his head pretty good so it kind of made me feel a little better. All of my kids loved their stomach best.

Lucas has been on his belly since he was 5 weeks old and loves it. He gets the best sleep that way. Now that it's been 8+ weeks we are much more relaxed about it. It's the cutest thing to find him the morning with his chin resting on his crossed arms and his feet crossed just looking around.

I wonder when we will feel ok about it ,. you need to invest in a video monitor you will still sleep with one eye open but at least you are in your own bed with the monitor next to you.i had the hardest time with it but it seems he sleeps better that way.
