POed at a doctor's office
I have an upper endoscopy scheduled in a little less than 2 weeks. The GI doctor asked me to get clearance from my cardiologist because I have a heart problem that is now very minor. The GI doctor even considered not requiring the clearance. I know that my cardiologist will give it. I purposely waited because my health insurance was changing on 5/1 and I wanted to make sure that both doctors will be on my new plan before I asked anything more of either of them So today I get a call from the GI doctor's office saying that they need my cardiac clearance by the end of today or I forfeit my appointment for the endoscopy. I was never told that I had a deadline. Guess what? I'm busy. I was not right near a phone today. My cardiologist is rarely in the office on Fridays and I was planning to do this on Monday or Tuesday. The GI doctor's office did not lift a finger, but requires me to get this clearance. I'll do it on my time. They were a little bit rude in the past but I ignored it because, for once, a doctor actually spoke to me like I'm an adult. He used medical terminology and not baby talk and that means a lot to me. Other than that, I really hate this GI's office. So, who has a good GI doctor who will not talk down to me? I promise I will get cardiac clearance but give me a minute to call for it!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: POed at a doctor's office
I had the procedure done about 6 months ago. Let me know if you'd like the name of my dr.
