Police Officers (or spouses) - I have a question!
A friend of mine whom I lost contact with is a NYPD officer. Is there any way to find out where he is located? (precinct, area, etc...) The only phone # I have for him is no longer in service.
Thanks...

Did you try google or whitepages. com?
If you know someone else that is a cop, they may be able to help you, but there is not "directory".

I tried google and all of the other searches, but with no results
Just took a shot in the dark with this.

They are usually unlisted for safety issues.

I would try more conventional methods TBH. There is no directory and usually this type of info is kept private for safety purposes. If you know another cop, and they happen to know that person then they may be able to point you in the right direction, otherwise you will be out of luck.
TBH it may not be best to try to find someone through their line of work, particularly if they are a cop. I can not imagine it looking good for that person to get personal calls/visits from old friends at their job.
Is there a mutual friend you could leave a message with for contact?

No...we keep all of that information unlisted. The only way you can find out is if you have any other NYPD friends that can look up his name on the Department Intranet. There's nothing listed anywhere online for safety reasons. And 99% of cops keep their home phone numbers and addresses unlisted as well.
