Police: 'Spitting' Teen (from LI) Shocked With Taser At Disney
ORLANDO, Fla. -- A teen was shocked with a Taser gun and several others were detained at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom theme park after they attacked officers responding to reports they were spitting at guests, according to police.
A Disney security guard said three teens and two adults who were visiting the Magic Kingdom from Long Island Sunday were spitting at guests and cursing.
When a sheriff's deputy responded, the five are accused of punching and kicking the officer and other security guards at the park.
The deputy said he was forced to use a Taser gun to subdue one of the teens.
All five of the theme park visitors were taken into custody and charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.

Giada, when I saw it on TV...THEY contacted the news because they believed they were wrongfully treated. THAN the news got the police report and now they 5 wont return calls

they have it here on channel 12 the local long island news channel. how embarrassing. I hope they serve some jail time even if its 10 days and kept on record!

The kids in my neighborhood (Brooklyn).
We live in front of a park and it is disgusting the way kids(teens) act these days. They don't care about anything.
Ugh and you have to watch it? That's soo sad. The indifference of most of today's youth scares the crap outta me!

For the most part they are just punks-nothing scares them. One day they tried to shoot silly string on my dog. Now my husband is 6'8 and a big guy-he told the kid don't even think about it. Well the kid is like "what are you gonna do to me, etc etc." They know the law is on their side and they have no respect.
The law is on their side which stinks.
The justice system we have sometimes baffles me.

What morons!! Disney is governed by their founders not the US Government, The Reedy Creek Foundation does not owe them a speedy trial or anything. What kind of dumb fluck gets into a fight there??

My DH learned about The Reedy Creek foundation in school last semester. That is the only reason I am filled with such useless knowledge about it.

They're just idiotic. Maybe you can get away with that at Great Adventure (which is now pretty seedy, IMO), but at Disney if you sneeze the wrong way they boot you..And any time you hit a police officer the outcome is NOT going to be good. They probably wanted to publicize it because they think they can sue Disney now.
