Poll for FTWM's
A few posts on the relationship board have me wondering something. If you are a FTWM, what % of your total household income comes from you? Also, if you are comfortable doing so, add in a reply if you are the person that carries the medical benefits.
For the record, I do carry the benefits.

I would say roughly 80% is my salary, 20% DH plus DH has the family benefits plan

I make a little bit more than DH. We both work for the same company and the benefits are taken equally out of our paychecks.

I'm about 30% of the income, but I carry the benefits, but we wouldn't be able to make it without my salary no matter who carried the benefits.

I make more and carry the burden of medical expenses. *shrug*
Just is what it is. I still make more even after the benefits are taken out.
I make about 66% - 75% of the income.
My goal would be for him to be a SAHD

I am not good at figuring out percentages but I make a little less than twice what dh makes and I have the benefits. But we wouldn't be able to survive w/out him working both financially and emotionally. I would be VERY resentful (no flames please!)
I just realized I make about 66% of the income - DUH!

No flames here. We would be able to survive with DH as a SAHD but we both know that it would destroy our relationship, so he works.
I make the money and have the benefits - not figuring out a percentage, too depressing and it stresses me out lol

I make much more than DH and carry the benefits. He is a SAHD 4 days a week so we don't have to pay for daycare. It is what it is. I dream about selling our house and being a SAHM.....but it will never happen.

I carry the benefits and taken on a yearly income, I probably make more than dh but his job is so up and down its hard to figure out. He makes something different every year. I have the stability

kind of crashing here (will be FTWM in a couple of months). household income is roughly 60% me 40% Dh, and DH carries the benefits (except dental) no way we could survive without both of us working!

I make a touch more but we use his benefits b/c they are less expensive and cover more.

I make about 40% of our income.
DH carries the benefits because he is NYPD and those benefits are about the only thing that makes his job tolerable.
I would never be able to beat the kind of benefits he has in that job and how little we have to pay for them- so luckily we are on those.

i'm about 40% of the income.
we each pay our own health insurance through our companies however i pay dental for both of us.
DS is on DH's health insurance though because he also pays for his other 2 sons from a previous relationship and it was the same price to add on DS

We make ABOUT the same, but his bennies are WAY better than my company's bennies and much, much cheaper, so we use his.
We definitely need both salaries.

DH's job doesn't offer benefits so I have to

I cant figure out my total % household income  but I am salary and DH is hourly if i break my pay down hourly i think i make about $10-$12 more an hour than DH (I cant remeber how much he is making right now). But DH can make overtime when i cant so in the end when we do our taxes i usually end up making about $10,000-$12,000 more than him.
He carrys the benefits since it cheaper for him to at the moment. He is union so we only pay monthly union fees which is less than $60 a month and it covers all our benefits(this may or may not be changing)
we both work cause we have to right now to pay off somethings but even if we were 100% debt free to maintain the lifestlye we want we will have to both work. I aslo personally never want to be SAHM and i am not sure if DH would really wnat to be SAHD
