POLL: How often do you keep in touch with your friends?

Just curious about this.

I can't even tell you the last time I spoke with several of what I considered to be my "good friends".

Really. The phone goes both ways, and sometimes I feel my friendships are very one-sided.

Can anyone relate?

ETA: I can't even choose an answer for my own poll! I didn't make HARDLY EVER a choice!!!

we email here and there, but can even go weeks, months, etc without that. we're all to blame, but life gets hectic. I saw my parents in April, and it was the first time i had seen them since Christmas. Life gets in the way sometimes.

I have 5 really good friends (best friends you could say) and my sister. I keep in touch with all of them on a daily basis... probably speak to each of them at least twice a week, especially now that 2 of them are pregnant and 1 lives here in FL in the same town!!

I speak to my SIL, cousins and other friends at least once a week on the phone or through email.

I talk to my friend's through 'IM' and sometimes i call my friends on the phone... but we perfer to chat online...I agree with Neenie sometime's 'life gets Hectic'. You either have family functions going on, wedding's,vacation, school... But i try to keep in touch with my friends like i said through IM to let them know i have not fogotten them.

I usually speak to my best friend everyday though sometimes we skip a day or two. My other close friends I'd say we average about once every two weeks—sometimes more, sometimes less.

Some of my good friends are in UK or Australia, but here, my closest friend everyday, everyone else maybe once a week, more if possible.

I have only a few really close friends and since I had a baby, I don't see them as much. My best friend here in CA is great though. We see each other at least once a week.

My closest friends are still in NY though so I only get to see them a couple of times a year

usually we see each other at some point over the weekend. During the week well send an e-mai or two.

There are 6 of us in our "circle" and we make it a point to see each other at least once a month. We ALWAYS celebrate each other's birthday - sometimes san SO's and sometimes with them.
We email all of the time and talk on the phone once every week or two. I am better friends with 1 of the other 5 - she was in my wedding party along with my sister (I only had the two) so I speak with her more frequently. I am very lucky with the friends I have.

my new friend here in ct we email every day and see each other 1-2x a week.

my friend from college we IM every day and see each other 1-2x a month

my other friends live farther away from me so its hard to see them but we will email often and stay in touch so we always know what each other is doing

It really depends - there are people that I talk to 10 times a day (Tanaholic ) Then there are people that I talk to over IM all the time because they are working so it's just easier (LBG30 and Shopaholic). Then I have friends that I talk to once a week, and some good friends that I speak to once in awhile bc they have kids and we are constantly busy with parties that it's just too hard to get in touch.

I don't feel disconnected from any of my friends though.

God may have given me a crazy family, but he has sure blessed me with alot of great friends. I keep in touch with my BEST friend about every other day via phone & try to make our Sat morning breakfast at the dinner ritual every week. Then I have 6 friends (mostly couples) I see maybe once a week. All the rest I see from time to time... Mostly on Saturday night- to hang out at a bar or something small such as play cards or go the movies.

I went through alot of stages in my life where my friends have came & went. - I had the crew on my block growing up.. then it was the HS crew- and then the friends I hung out with in my early 20's. Although I remained really close with only a few of them, On the occassion that I do see them, its more of a hi & goodbye type of situation. The friends that I have now are the ones that I truly believe I will go through the rest of my life with. Sometimes you just know these things, although life can bring you down roads you wont expect.

I've been finding it hard lately. I find that everyone is so busy with his or her own life that the times I speak to my friends have been much less frequent. I have one close friend who I speak to several times a week, and my other two close girlfriends are more like once per week. I have a close male friend who I email a lot during work, and some other long-time friends who I don't even get to talk to once a month anymore. It makes me sad when the friendships seem to be drifting, and I am going through one of those phases right now.

depends on the friends-

I see one good friend every week because we do Belly Dancing together and then do dinner after- and occassionally we go out as couples with her and her DH

my best friend and I see eachother once a week -we have thurs,. or fri "dates"-although since I have been back from GA_she has been really busy-so I have only seen her once- We double date often since our DHs were friends for as long as best friend and I have been friends

Another good friend lives on LI and I am in CT- we don't see eachother as often as we would like, but we try hard to see eachother as much as possible- we talk weekly-either phone/im/email- but some communication-she is also great at keeping in touch

and my other good friend(was a BM in my wedding) and I don't see eachother that often-she is terrible at "keeping in touch" and a lot of it is me calling/imming/emailing/texting- I know she is busy- but who isn't... I love her to death but she is just not good at keeping in touch-We see eachother about 2x-3x a year...

All my other friends -we catch up through calls/emails mostly- and see eachother when we can- but it is difficult with schedules and everyone living everywhere

I have 3 girls that are my true good friends. We talk daily and see each other like mostly on the weekends.
