yeahhhh- my DH is a mets fan, but no - there would be NO piazza. 
haha same here! and BTW if DS was a girl we were going to use Shea as a middle name too (after the stadium).

While Piazza is a bit far fetched
You want him to have a name he dislikes so it would only be fair IMHO.
I agree.
Although honestly, i wouldn't pick a name my DH hates or vice versa. I'd want us to both be happy with the choice.

My kids have middle names I lioke but we NEVER use them.
Funny story-yesterday we were at SIL's for a BBQ. Her friend asked what their middle names were and my SIL says Oh they don't have middle names. My DH and I were like YES they do For soome reason she didn't know

So, i got my dh off the "Piazza for middle name" campaign woo hooo
BUTTT....
Now hes onto his favorite New York Ranger for the middle name..
but i love it..
so even though the first name will be alil secretive surprise..my  middle name will be Avery After Sean Avery on the NYR

My DS' middle name is Riley . . . after PAT RILEY who is a basketball coach This was b/c we couldn't agree on a name - I wanted a j name after my grandmother, my husband (the hispanic) wanted Aristotle, then he settled for a j name of Julius Cesar (I wasn't naming my son that). Finally after a coin toss we settled on Jack and then I liked "JR" he wanted Riley and honestly, I was tired of fighting.
