Poll: Time to pull out my window A/C?

What do you think? Is it finally time to pack away my window A/C or are we going to have one last October heatwave?

I normally keep them until the end of October. I live in an apartment and sometimes the heat is too high so the ventilation coming in from the AC helps.

I was running my air last night.

And will probably continue to do so for at least another month.

We had our CAC running last night. DH shut it down this morning but I don't doubt it will go back on at some point before October is over...

I still have my CAC units on

We keep it at about 70 or 71 at night.

I dont like sleeping with the windows open at all.

Id keep it in

Yeh, we usually pull them out at the beginning of Oct but there NOTHING worse than having to drag the darn thing out of storage and re-install it because it gets too hot and we can't sleep. Ill probably wait a week and see how the weather is.

We took ours out. The nights are cool and the window open is just fine with me. I like fresh air!

We haven't used ours in about 2 weeks now. I just leave the windows open. Although it has been getting kind of hot at night. I think my last $300 LIPA bill (for a 1 bedroom apt mind you) scared me into not using them.

We ran ours last night...I know the moment we remove it I am going to be hot! I need to sleep in a cool climate!!! I am going to wait a few more weeks!

I have it in still because I just know, I KNOW the second I pull that sucker out, it's going to get hot. I'll hold off another week or two.

I just took out mine last weekend while I was doing my big fall cleaning. Lets just say dh wasn't so happy when we had the hot days the other day

We packed ours up last weekend. We have two fans in the MB and LR to use if it gets too warm, but with windows open, we haven't had any issues.

We took it out last weekend. it's usually SO HOT in our place (neighbors control the thermostat and it's 10 degrees cooler on their side) but the nights are cool enough to open the window and use the fan if necessary.

I took out DD's 2 weeks ago but we still have one in the Kitchen/Living room. I think I might take it out today, I love having the windows open!

we took ours out 2 weeks ago. we are actually using a portable heater now until the landlord turns on the heat.
