Poop accidents when Potty Training
Ryan is doing great with pee but pooing every other day - holding til absolutely necessary. Day 2 of training he started in the shower insisting he could go in there but I immediately put him on the potty and he continued there.
Today, he went pee and I thought I was safe to feed Colin for 5 minutes. Ryan yelled, "don't come in here, I have a big poo poo in my pants" We did clean up together, all the while him saying "this is disgusting mommy"
But I'm sending him to daycare Thursday - is this going to be a huge issue? How many poop accidents did your DC have before feeling comfortable just doing it in the potty? Anything I can do about this?

I don't have an answer for you but We are going full force potty training this weekend and then DD is going to daycare on Monday.
So, I'm just bringing a lot of extra undies and shorts for her.

This is day 4. He hasn't been in a diaper since Thursday. Pull ups for nap which he seems to be keeping dry, but pull up for bedtime isn't really working - I may go back to an overnight b/c I can't do sheets every morning - but I don't want to regress

Re: Poop accidents when Potty Training
Honestly, I think the fact that he called it disgusting is actually good- it shows that he understands that it's better to use the toilet. I'd be surprised if he had another, as long as he's able to get to a toilet right away. Talk to him about how he knows that he needs to go.
My DD didn't give a $#!@ (sorry, I had to) when she pooped in her pants but she had issues with pooping in general and not wanting to do it at all. But once we got past that she didn't have any poop accidents.

Re: Poop accidents when Potty Training
DD is just about potty trained with pee. She has gone poop on the potty a few times but it was MONTHS ago. Now she won't do it. But after she pees sometimes she says " Mommy, I'm gonna wait for the poops to come out. I have to be patient."
I hope its soon!!

So what happens at daycare? I'm thinking, at this rate, we'll skip an accident this week since he is only going every other day (poop) and only to daycare Thursday - so he's on schedule to do it in the car on the way out of town Friday morning
Yes, I do think it's good he was as grossed out as I was!

Re: Poop accidents when Potty Training
I'm in the same boat. DS is pee pee trained but poops in his underwear every day I think this is week 4 of training. He tells me its too hard and the toilet is scary despite him pooping on the potty months ago. I even have video of him pooping on the potty and I play it for him all the time. I can't wait until he just does it!!
Can you put him in a pullup for daycare? I was anti-pullup for a while but now if I put one on him he still pees on the potty.

Re: Poop accidents when Potty Training
When DS was first trained I put him in a pullup at school until I knew that he was going to poop if he had too...and tell someone, other than me and DH, that he had to use the toilet.
We went through about a week or 2, accident free, until I felt comfortable just sending him in underwear.
