Potty training Q: How long did it take you to poop train
We started potty training in full force last Saturday. We had 2 accidents that day and that was it... she stayed dry - including overnights and naps - until Tuesday at day care (first day back). Since then she again has managed not to have any accidents at home or at day care (because she's awesome!! lol).
The poops are another story.
Sunday morning she did it in her panties. Gross, but we dealt with it. I spoke to her about making her poopies on the potty, told her she'd get 2 candies instead of just one, told her mommy and daddy poop all the time - anything I could think of.
She didn't poop again until this morning. In her panties.
And I knew it was coming and I tried SO HARD to convince her to sit on the potty but to no avail.
It was gross and messy and I'm just glad that neither of us were dressed for the day. So I'm wondering how long until she gets it?

Good for her
Christopher was holding it for a while, I think he didn't like the feeling of it. BUT it was really only a day or two and then he got the hang of it.
Now that he knows what it feels like, he runs to the potty and goes on it.

Re: Potty training Q: How long did it take you to poop train
My advice to you would be to not fuss when she does poop in her pants. We had a TERRIBLE time with DD- I can't tell you how many pairs of panties I just tossed. I tried being stern, I tried cajoling her, I offered rewards. None of that worked.
On the suggestion of my daycare provider, I just ignored when she did it. She'd say "sorry, mommy," and I'd say, "It's ok" but nothing else. No lectures, no reminders, etc. And finally she started pooping on the potty. That took about a week.
Though in our case, DD also had a traumatic time once and was constipated. So I think that was a factor for her, at least for a little while, that she was always scared that it would hurt. We did make more of a point to keep her hydrated and make sure she had lots of fruit and veggies, which she ate a lot of anyway.
good luck!
