Portable dishwasher and PC Richards question

Does anyone have a portable dishwasher? I never knew of such a thing but someone told me they exist, people in studios or small apartments usually buy them.

Would PC Richards have any?

Also I hear theres a PC Richards clearance store in Deer Park - has anyone bought anything from that store? I guess it's where they send floor models or any appliances that are dented/scratched but still work but are discounted.

I really want a dishwasher but we don't have the money to redo the whole kitchen to fit a dishwasher in. So a portable one would be good for now that I can push into a corner when not using.

Does anyone think a portable one is worth it and if they are good enough to wash pots and pans?

Thanks.

Re: Portable dishwasher and PC Richards question

portable dishwashers are just as good as built ins - we have one in my current house - same size as a regular dishwasher (you can find smaller ones).

the only PITA thing is you have to hook up the hose to your kitchen faucet, so you cant use the faucet while the dishwasher is running - we have a portable bc its a two family house, our kitchen is upstairs, and in case of a leak we can move it easily.

we bought a new one for my mom for her birthday - i got it from www.appliancesbuyphone.com. it was cheaper than the PC richards one by $20 - and it was no tax and free delivery (it was delivered within the week I ordered it).

good luck!

I have a portable dishwasher I will sell! We don't need it. It is white with a butcher block top. You wheel it somewhere else whne you don't need it then wheel it over to the sink to hook it up. My SIL used to use it and worked great for her. We will sell it for $100 FM if interested.

We have one also. It works just like a built in one and cleans just as well. It is a PITA sometimes bc you have to wheel it to the sink.

Re: Portable dishwasher and PC Richards question

I actually want one like that because right now we have nowhere to put it other than in a corner when not in use.

Our kitchen is so ugly it's insane. I have NO cabinets on the wall. None. I swear I have no clue how the seller of this house (original owner too) did it, the lack of storage is driving me crazy. I'm attaching a pic to show you how sad my kitchen is. The house is a whole fixer upper. I can't wait until we can get it all redone.

So until we redo it, I think I am better orr with a portable one I can wheel out of the way when not in use.

Portable dishwashers are great, so says my friend. I wish I had one.

PC Richards...not so great IMO. I find them to be sleazy. JMO.

I have one. I bought it when I was living in
an apartment. They work great. There is
a house that attatches to the sink. It cleans
just like a regular dishwasher.
