positive ppd test
Anyone ever have this? I got a chest x-ray and it was negative. . . but now I have to be on meds for 6-9 months. Any reaction to the meds?

I had a pos test too. I had no reaction to the medicine, but you can't drink alcohol while taking it.

I have tested positive with PPD. I had a blood test called quantiferon. Its pretty new but it checks to see if the TB is active or not. I refused to take those meds for 6 months & told my Dr to find another way.
ETA - mine came back neg so no meds for me.

Yup... Same thing for me. PPD was positive, x-ray was negative. I was on the drugs for 6 months with no reaction. The whole no drinking thing was pretty rough though especially since I was in college.
