Re: Positive Trump thread

I understand triggers, TYVM.
I'm just saying respect was brought up and it's a two-way street. It's mind boggling to me that we have a positive thread for Trump on this board of mostly women. To me, having an opinion about someone like Trump isn't having an opinion. It borders on someone supporting hate.
Not that I'm equating Trump to Hitler, but there are many undeniable parallels. It's like if someone made a post that said, yeah Hitler said anti-Semitic things, but he did great things for Germany (NOT MY OPINION, BTW). Can you imagine the uproar? People would speak up, which is what's happening here. And I don't blame them.
And that's your opinion. I don't think supporting trump supports hate. And that's my opinion. It's pretty simple when you think of it. And this is a thread for positive posts. Again, trying to give people who do support him a place to talk about it without constant berating. And also a place for people who aren't sure. Maybe seeing some positive things will help them feel a little bit better.
And I wasn't saying you didn't understand triggers. I was just stating an obvious fact. Anything can trigger anyone at any time. So if someone who will be upset by a positive statement about trump, they shouldn't open it. The name of the thread can be seen as a warning. It's not named butterflies and then when you open it , you get hit with stuff you can't believe you're reading. Right?
Let's just agree to disagree about trump himself and leave the post that is for positive thoughts to be just that. Positive thoughts and statements.
ETa: there's a thread here someone for the women's March or for petitions or something. I don't know exactly because I never opened it. It said something about only for positive something (I really have no clue lol I know it exists tho) and I didn't even open it. Obviously. It wasn't for me to know. If someone from the opposing side did write in there anything negative , they would be dead wrong and I'd be one of the first to call them out. Hopefully, those who did use that thread were respected

Positive Trump thread
I'm just here to read if anyone has anything positive to say about the actions he's taken already, not just people's hopes or opinions of him, because I'm curious.

Yeah, "I'm not agreeing to disagree" about Trump any longer. He said hateful things. People conveniently ignored these things. They may say, "oh but I don't support those things he said." Well you (general) did because you were perfectly fine voting for him and putting someone with that platform in charge of the US. You (general) are free to side with a person who did that, but I'm not willing to move forward, or whatever it is that people are saying, with an agenda like that.
You know who else agreed to disagree? The Germans in the early 30s. We all know how that turned out.
ETA to your ETA: What negative thing could someone say about women's petitions? What like women can't have rights?

Re: Positive Trump thread
I am really looking forward to the end of anti-semitic notions that were extremely prevalent with the Obama administration, in everything from his inner politics to his international politics. The rise in anti--semitism all over the world will hopefully subside or will least become much less acceptable now that Trump is in the office.
I am also looking forward to more respect given to our police forces and military. No group is perfect, but these people risk their lives every single day to protect us and respect should be given when it is due. It was disheartening to see them regularly portrayed as villeins.
