Re: Post-partum Belly Wrapping

Thanks for all the responses, Ladies!!Chat Icon I am definitely going to ask my OB if my hospital gives the abdominal binders if you ask for them (having BTDT, I know they don't just automatically give them). Otherwise, I'll just go with the old school girdle (was in Target yesterday, & they didn't have any, only their brand of shapewear, like fake Spanxx). I will try Macy's. Thanks again!!Chat Icon

I cannot imagine wrapping myself so tightly while in the hospital...after I gave birth I just wanted to be comfy.

But it is something I've thought about-just can't bring myself to do it.

Me too. I was so bloated and uncomfy. I would not even think about wearing one of those. (and my stomach went back to normal Chat Icon )

Re: Post-partum Belly Wrapping

i dont know about others who had a c/s, but i found the binder would irritate the incision site. that is one of the main reasons why i didnt like wearing mine.
i will definitely look into something different to wear this time around though bc i think it def makes a difference.

Re: Post-partum Belly Wrapping

My mother said, in the old country, her mother made her wrap her stomach, but she hated it. And now she blames not wrapping for all the loose skin around her belly that now can only be fixed with a tummy tuck.

I hate those girdle things they are always itchy for me, and I can see myself being very frustrated. But I kind of like the idea of spanx, thanks for suggesting it!
