Hmmm...interesting.

I don't know. I think the better approach is to get to the root of the problem and offer counseling. I would imagine it would be easier to cut back slowly rather than quit cold turkey...in some ways it may be easier on the body (in other ways I would imagine the damage would be continuing). I just don't imagine it would be as beneficial as it could be, unless they provide counseling too. Otherwise I think relapse and other addictions would be likely.Chat Icon

i dont know how i feel... in principle i'm hesitant but in practice it might actually be a good idea

Seriously, I guess if this program gets them to cut down on drinking then it's doing some good.

I would say the program is successful if it gets alcoholics to eventually quit for good.
