potty training... going to lose it!

DD turned 2 in May and has been peeing on the potty inconsistenly since April. ALl summer i've trying to get her to go. i've tried pullups, no pullups, rewards of candy toys. nothing is working. she's refuses to tell me when she has to use the potty and is peeing all over the house. when we are out, 75% of the time she will tell me. on her days that she is dry all day it's only bc i take her often and watch what she drinks. what should i do? i'm out of ideas. my oldest trained at teh same age in 3 days.

potty training... going to lose it!

every child is different. i trained my DD in 5 days total (3 days for pee) s month before she turned 3. shes still young. also your inconsistency of pull ups, underwear, no underwear is probably confusing her as well. she may not be ready.. my DD at 18 months wanted nothing to do with diapers... all she wanted was underwear and pee pee on the potty, i was all for it, but in the end she just wasnt ready as she though she was. she is still young.. give her some time.

Re: potty training... going to lose it!

I don't know, I firmly believe that every child is different and when they are ready they are ready and it will be easy. My DS was 2yrs 5 mos I think? He said he was ready to go in the potty and he was (pee pee) day and night- never really had more than handful of accidents in the past 2.5 yrs. Same story with #2 when he was ready. My DD, I was starting to get frustrated she is 2.5 and seemed ready a number of times but, then gave me a problem so i went right back to diapers. Everyone kept telling me to stick with it but, I was waiting until I felt she was ready. one in a half weeks ago (now she is almost 2 yrs 7 mos) she said she was ready and low and behold we have had maybe 2 accidents in the past 10 days - she is wearing panties every where and even waking up dry from bed and naps. My point is - I think when they are ready, they are ready, no "training" needed. HTH!

potty training... going to lose it!

My DD turned 2 at the end of APril and also wants nothing to do with the potty. She talks about it, knows what to do, has underwear, tells me when she does poo, but WILL NOT go on the potty at all. It is frustrating, but I am not pushing her.
