Potty Training- morning/afternoon #1- question???????
took her out of the diaper this morning after she woke up- let her run around naked...she ate and hate juice and strawberries....about an hour and a half after she woke up, we went into the bathroom and i told her lets try to make a peepee....i ran the bath water, and she said "bath?" (lol- i wanted to get it going)...i told her no, peepee time..... shut the water off and 30 seconds later she starts to go (standing up) i put her right on the potty, and told her to finish her peepee, and she did... she got a few reeses pieces...
another 1/2 later, im letting her run around in undies and a tank top, and she pees a little in her undies...i bring her to the bathroom, told her to finish her peepee- and she did....
same thing happened another hour later...
then about 20 minutes after that (she made a couple smelly farts- i knew a doodie was on the way!), i saw her look at me and run into her "doodie corner"...i picker her up, went right into the potty, and she made a doodie on the potty (which kinda freaked her out- she got up, looked at it and insisted i "flush it! flush it!"- hahaha- her potty chair does NOT flush....)
so, one more peepee on the potty before her nap (which again, started in her undies and finished in the bathroom)...and i put her in her diaper for her nap...
couple things- the diaper for her nap and bedtime- she is a heavy urinator when she sleeps, so im not interested in the pullup during this time, bc i know it wont hold- but i plan on taking the diaper right off upon waking...i know shes DEF too young to be able to hold it during a 3 hour nap and of course during sleep (21 months on the 22nd)...
does this sound like a little progress- ??? even though she starts in her undies...?
ugh, training is harder on me!! i am exhausted from not taking my eyes off of her!!! i almost dont even want to bother with it- diaper is so easy!!! we can play and go out and do stuff...for now we are stuck in the house- at least til sunday- i figure if no progress by sunday, then shes not ready.....
but what is progress in 4 days? any experience? i mean, MIGHT she tell me she has to go right before she goes in 4-5 days? will she start to "get it"?

Hmmmm....if she doesn't start initiating the potty herself, I mean like telling you she has to go it may be too early for her...but thats just my thoughts

Re: Potty Training- morning/afternoon #1- question???????
Sorry you got me at a bad time tonight! I called you back, but got your VM!!
I give you tons of credit, but it's really the only way to see if she's ready. I think she has to start telling you she has to go pee-pee, rather than you putting her on the potty, KWIM?? With her poopy, if you know she's going to the corner, get her to the potty. That's how we trained Andrew "Mr. Regular" For him, poopy came sooo much easier. He was fully trained for poops at 2.5 (and we didn't start sooner because Lauren came when he turned 2). He didn't train for pee until he was 3, so I am of no help there.
Lauren will use the potty before bath each time, but that's it! She has no desire to tell me she has to go, and she has no desire to sit on the potty when she could be playing! She's a tough cookie. If you train Hannah, I need you here for a few days! I will pay you!
Call me Friday, I'm out and about, just generally around!
