Potty Training question re: "holding it in"
So I started potty training my 2.5 year old DD yesterday. We ditched the diapers entirely during the day and went straight into big girl undies. She's wearing Pull-Ups for naptime and bedtime. The problem that we're having is she seems to have already figured out that she goes into a diaper for bedtime and naptime, so she seems to be holding it in during the day so that she can just let it all go in her diaper. For instance, 7am this morning she had a milk cup and 2 sippy cups full of juice/water and didn't pee on the potty till 11am... and when she did go, it was just a small amount, almost like she was letting a little out just to get more comfortable until she went into her diaper for nap. When she got up from nap, her entire bed was SOAKED from urine. She's not having accidents in her big girl undies. We offer her incentives to go on the potty. We pump her full of fluids so that she has to go. I just don't know what else to do. Anyone have any insight?? POTTY TRAINING SVCKS!!!

This is exactly what my DD did. We then decided to just go cold turkey on the pull ups; even at night (well we did rubber panties for a bit).
We did 3 days of not really leaving the house & I pumped her full of liquid & by day 3 she was even pooping on the potty.
Potty training IS the worst! I feel for you.

The thing is, my DD just sleeps right through the wet. Apparently it doesn't bother her that she's laying in a puddle of urine. Was your DD like that? I'm afraid to take that diaper away... I really am.

Also, I do have rubber pants. Did you put your DD in big girl undies and then the rubber pants, and then put her to bed?
