PPD test
i've heard mixed things... some people say no way while preggo, others say its fine
does it depend on your OB?

I'm due for my PPD at work in July. I asked my OB if it was okay to take and he said yes.
Anyone hear that it is not safe?

im due for mine in july too... they are doing this new PPD test where i have to get 2 in a row, and then i dont have to get tested ever again if they come up negative
i have heard its unsafe... ive also heard that preggo people at my job get exempt from it -- i dont feel comfortable getting it to be honest...i feel the same way about the flu shot

I've never heard of getting 2 in a row. I have to get 1 every year since I work in a hospital.
I'm definitely going to research it more though since you have heard that it is not safe.

my OB said it was ok to get it during pregnancy. i told her i did not want to do it and asked her for a letter to give to my employer...i work in a hospital. boy, did they give me a hard time! they told me that there is no reason why i cannot get it done while i am preggo and almost didn't accept the letter from my OB. um, hello, this is my body and i can accept/reject anything i want during my pregancy.
they told me i would need to have it done before i return from my maternity leave then, which is fine with me
