I had two relationships that were both 2 years long.
I used to joke with DH that we'd break up at the 2 year mark.
He proposed at 1 year and 5 months.

8 months when I was 16 years old, BUT ... I had my first kiss when I was 11 years old with this guy and he & I were on and off until I was 23 YEARS OLD...
Literally it was on 3 months, off 6 months, on 7 months, off 2 months, and so on and so forth ...
it was the most unhealthy relationship to have ... I never needed to get serious with anyone else because he was always lurking in the background and always available. I actually dated DH in college and left him for the other guy. So immature and sooo stupid.
One month before my wedding as I was getting out of my car by my house the guy drove by (we are from the same neighborhood, but never run into each other) and he stopped. It felt SO GOOD to say "I'm getting married, I'm moving, blah blah blah" ... it's been at least 5 years since I was last with him, but we never had "official" closure ... plus the look on his face was classic!

Hmmm, I never really had long relationships. I also had situations that were never declared, if you know what I mean. They never formally began and never formally ended, they just existed. 2 boyfriends were also my 2 friends and things happened naturally and progressed without a real dating relationship being declared.

the longest relationship I had was 2 1/2 years- through first half of college...
But the most serious relationship before DH was about 1 1/2 years... and that was a seriously dysfuctional relationship...
Looking back on it- i had a lot of boyfriends.. creepy.. immediatly b/f DH I dated a guy for a year.. but we were probably better off as friends.
