Pregnancy baby blues......
I think I have it.....
Girls, its been so hard for me to be happy this pregnancy, and its freaking me out like there something wrong with me...
I really feel it has to do with me knowing what to expect this time around, and its making me nuts!! I'm worried about everything.....
I really feel like I'm loosing my mind some days and I just want to feel like myself again and be happy! My hormones are just off the wall, and I feel so bad for Julia to see me this way. Thankgod she's such a good kid and never complains one bit!
I'm hoping its just the first trimester blues and then they will go away, I couldn't see myself feeling this way for 7 more months.....
Has anyone else felt this way during there 2nd pregnancy? How did you get though it?

Re: Pregnancy baby blues......
Not pregnant with my second..but maybe reminding yourself how badly you wanted to get pregnant with your 2nd and how happy you were when you found out your were prego, will get you out of the funk.........
Also, the baby blues were temporary after you had Julia, so this will pass!!
ETA: having bad m/s doesn't help either. I remember being down during my pregnancy due to sever m/s

Re: Pregnancy baby blues......
Oh no... hormones can really do it for you... I don't really have any advice but I do hope that it's just a first trimester thing (it probably is - most people feel much better by their 2nd trimester).
Sending hugs

I hope this passes for you. Maybe do some things that will get you excited for this pregnancy and baby - go shopping, start a scrapbook, talk to Julia about the baby. Feel better soon!

Re: Pregnancy baby blues......
I admit I wasn't happy when I got my surprise BFP. I had a very hard time in the beginning with Matty.
I'm 12 weeks along now and starting to feel happier- the first ultrsound made me really happy!
I hope you feel better soon! It's hormones and knowing how hard it was with the first one. But, I believe we aren't given more than we can handle and a new life is a blessing. I hope you feel better soon- just don't feel guilty that you are down- mommyhood is a lot of work and feeling overwhelmed is normal!

Re: Pregnancy baby blues......
I can't say that I felt depressed, but I was about a million times more anxious the 2nd time. I was anxious because of a repeat c-section; I was anxious because I didn't know how I would be able to juggle 2 babies; I was anxious because Katherine would not get all the attention anymore. Basically, I was just anxious!
Also, it's just not the same the 2nd time around. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED being pregnant both times, but the 2nd time, you can't be sick, you can't relax, you can't run away and cry for no reason...you know?
I want you to know that it all worked out though--the c/s was great (well, as "great" as it can be!), the juggling is stressful sometimes but it's so much fun watching the girls interact now; Katherine is no longer the only one, but she's still the star to me
Hang in there--you're going to do great!!!

Not pregnant.. BUT I did want to send hugs.. When I first got pregnant w/ dd I did have baby blues, but I think it was the hormones, they can throw everything out of whack..

Re: Pregnancy baby blues......
It has to be such a different experience the second time around knowing more that we knew the first time around. I think I may very well find myself in the same situation when I get pregnant again.
Not much help to offer but definitely lots of

This is exactly how I feel, I seem to be more anxious this time around, plus I'm always worried about something happening to me and Julia not having me in her life, and since I have to go through another c-section again its making me so nervous! I guess when the baby gets bigger and I can feel him/or her it will be more real to me, and Julia can also enjoy it more too!
Thanks so much for making me feel a little better!!

Re: Pregnancy baby blues......
I was that way with #2, thank goodness it lifted after 1st trimester. Hormones were all over the place, much more than with #1.
There is a such thing as Depression during pg, similiar to PPD, if you feel blue all the time, maybe talking to someone would help.

Re: Pregnancy baby blues......
My first pregnancy I felt this way- It was awful- I was so miserable being pregnant- it got better around the 15 week mark when my hormones calmed down. This is part of the reason why I don't want to get pregnant again.
SO hang in there

I have no advice, but I'm so afraid of this too with PG #2 (another reason I'm waiting to TTC). I hope it gets better really soon.

I felt the same way. #2 was a surprise so I started to feel guilty for DS because I felt like if I started to think about DD I was taking away the only alone time I had left with him. Then I felt guilty if I wasn't thinking about DD enough. I didn't have a c-section but once labor started I was dreading it. It brought back all the memories of what was to come next. It really all does work out. If she naps try and take a nap too. The beginning was so hard for me because I was always so tired. And as hard as it is to have 2 under 2 I would never ever change it.

Re: Pregnancy baby blues......
I'm sorry you're feeling this way, but its nice to see I'm not alone. I haven't quite gotten "excited" about this pregnancy yet. I haven't even told my family because I want to be more excited when I tell them.
It happened sooner than I expected, so I'm filled with mixed emotions. Ella just seems too young! and I'm not looking forward to feeling pregnant again (fortunately, I haven't felt any symptoms yet but I'm only 6 weeks).
Its just seems surreal to me and some days I wonder if I'm really pregnant at all.
I didn't mean to go on and on about me, I just wanted to show you that you're not alone.

Don't be silly about going on and on, I like to hear other people are feeling the same way as me, makes me feel better to know I'm not alone!
See thats the thing, I'm not excited at all yet and its worrying me, I guess feeling like crap most of the day isn't helping me, I just can't wait to get this trimester over with.....

Re: Pregnancy baby blues......
I am not sure if anyone of the other moms felt like this but one big thing I noticed between #1 and #2 is that nothing is new. You know what to expect during the pregnancy. You know what a flutter feels like, you know what a real kick feels like, you can probably tell the way the baby is lying just by the pressure you feel.

Re: Pregnancy baby blues......
I cried all the time when i was pregnant..I would call my friend hysterical sobbing alot. Baby blues do happen when your pregnant..So Advise...hmmm well I guess the only thing you can do is talk to your doctor about it and depending on how severe it is..you might need medication. Or try acupuncture. I consider my friend my therapist so she helped me through a lot of it. Do you have a Best Friend you can hang out with and chat with? Good luck i hope you feel better soon...that feeling sucks..i'v been their.
