I cried all the time when i was pregnant..I would call my friend hysterical sobbing alot. Baby blues do happen when your pregnant..So Advise...hmmm well I guess the only thing you can do is talk to your doctor about it and depending on how severe it is..you might need medication. Or try acupuncture. I consider my friend my therapist so she helped me through a lot of it. Do you have a Best Friend you can hang out with and chat with? Good luck i hope you feel better soon...that feeling sucks..i'v been their.
I'm not so depressed where I would need medication or anything, I'm just very fustrated and worried lately, and I guess once I start to feel more like myself and my hormones settle I will feel much better! I have lots friends to talk to, and coming on here for advice helps me alot, so I'm thankful for that.

Re: Pregnancy baby blues......
Honestly, it really could be hormones right now - I remember feeling like intense pms my 1st trimester... everything made me cry and feel depressed, and yes the m/s took all the enrgy and desire to live out of me....
Being pregnant is such an emotional time. I couldnt get out of the funk until around 4 mts pregnat!!!

Re: Pregnancy baby blues......
When i was pregnant with #2 I was definately less excited and blue. Its not that I was not excited, but with #2 the excitement of having a baby is so different from when you are preggo with #1 that it plays with your emotions. #1 is so new and exiciting to everyone and you have time to sit back and enjoy every kick and stage and your growing belly. With #2, you have #1 running around and it is a lot harder, emotionally and physcially, IMO.
I worried about not giving Jack all the same attention, I worried about not loving #2 as much, I worried about how I was going to make it through 9 months with a very clingy and whiney toddler.
Hang in there! It is totally normal and soon you will feel like your old self again!

Hang in there and talk it out whenever you get the chance. I'm sure it's all those hormones racing around making you feel this way, but it still really stinks.

This is totally how I feel, like the excitement with this one isn't there like it was with my 1st, I guess its just something I will get over, I'm trying to think more positive, at night I feel like I'm not even pregnant, I feel wonderful, if only to feel like this during the day......

I remember being excited about being pregnant when I was pregnant with Jack. WIth Molly, the pregnancy part was a means to the end product, not as hunky dorry as the 1st pregnancy (in my mind, not physically)..both were physcially easy.

Re: Pregnancy baby blues......
I can honestly tell you that going through the MS made me so upset that I didnt even know if I could go through the whole pregnancy like that. The Dr from week 6 told me "oh it ends at week 8"...well that didnt happen it lasted for me until week 16 and like you ...I would cry and get very upset. I finally went on zofran. While it didnt completely fell 100% better it definitely felt like 40% better which is a blessing when you have MS. Do you think that something like this might help you at least in the MS area? After week 16...I was finally able to regain my happiness. Just think how anxious you were to have this baby and then when you conceived you were ecstatic. Keep those thoughts in perspective. Remember...this does end. I swore I wasnt having another one and when I saw DD...I melted. You will get through it and you have all of us for support.

This pregnancy my M/S isn't that bad like it was with Julia, when I was preggo with her I couldn't get out of the bathroom. This pregnancy I just have so many more worries, and I just have no energy during the day, I just want to stay in bed till I feel better again and I can't do that because I want to make sure Julia enjoys her days!
Hopefully I will get my energy back soon, and be able to get out more with her and be happy about this pregnancy. It does make it all worth it when you see there little faces in the end...

Re: Pregnancy baby blues......
I completely understand how you feel. For me, it isn't so much baby blues but I feel so guilty about feeling so lousy and not wanting to do things. This past Tuesday, I felt so bad because I didn't want to go to the park because it's just too hot for me and we didn't go out until after 4. I felt so bad that I had cheated DD out of a day of playing at the park.
Also, I feel lousy so far this pregnancy. It is starting to get better at 12 weeks but I didn't have this with my first.
I'm also a little depressed at what my body looks like. I already have the pot belly and it's getting harder to hide. It looks like I drink a 12 pack of beer nightly.
I'm also a little ashamed to admit this, but I'm almost hoping for one sex over another and that makes me feel so bad because what if it's the other sex? I feel like the baby will know and that makes me feel guilty.

Re: Pregnancy baby blues......
I had such a RANGE of emotions during my second pg. I was shocked, scared, anxious, frustrated, guilty, happy, etc. I felt very hormonal the entire time. i could feel myself getting "worked up" more easily over stupid stuff. The most prevailing emotion for me was guilt. I felt guilty that my older son was only a year old when I found out I was pg, and I felt like I didn't give him his time. Its completely normal how you are feeling...

Re: Pregnancy baby blues......
I def felt this way and still do with only 2 weeks to go. Like you I had horrific morning sickness. I felt terrible and guilty because I wasn't able to do anything with Antonio.
In the beginning I would call up my mom crying because I literally could not feed Antonio. She would have to come over and feed him because I would be so sick.
Then as the pregnancy progressed especially in the summer I wanted to sleep and I felt so bad for him. I know he deserved to be out playing but I just couldn't do it.
Now I feel down thinking about what I'm getting myself into. Stuck home with 2 kids and again poor Antonio with nowhere to go.
I def think the first pregnancy it different because it's all about you. Relaxing, pampering...the second one is harder because the focus is on the baby.
you are not alone
Take it one day at a time...I try to get out of the house once a day (for Antonio's sanity) even if it is a walk around the block.
